About the Artists

Hey there!

I'm Dandy! I'm a neurodivergent queer artist based out of Harrisonburg, VA. I studied sociology in undergrad at JMU, and hope to use what I've learned in my art to make the world a better place through community, creation, and activism. When I’m not making art (which feels like I’m always doing), I’m spending time with my dog Nevus (The CEO), with my boyfriend, or with my friends. I love what I do and that I get to share it with others.

I find my inspiration from everyone and anything. It could be a show I’ve been watching, something a friend said in passing, or from randomly generated prompts. I believe everyone has a creative voice, and I hope to encourage that self expression in others.

Art and creating in general have always been my happy place; a place where I feel accepted, and at peace. I made Deviant Kreations with the intention of making art accessible to more people and making a safe space for queer people and other marginalized communities. To be deviant means to be different from the norm, here we celebrate our differences as they are what make life more interesting. My goal is to make the world a brighter place, one design at a time.

I want to document all of my art, good or bad, I want to create fun pieces and do lots of challenges to grow as an artist and a person. To me art is one of the most human things we do, and seeing how it impacts each person is why I keep doing it.

My goals currently are to continue to develop my skills, to help facilitate a creative community, to build a place for people who appreciate art or want to create, and to collaborate with more artists.  I aspire to be an artist that inspires other people to follow their dreams and to change the world.

Some services I offer include: custom painted clothing, custom commissions, logo and brand design,  custom stickers, portraits, poster design, album art, and more. You can find more information here.
